Richard Benoy

I was delighted to have been co-opted as a Rusthall Parish Councillor when a vacancy became available in 2011. I am a very dedicated person when I commit to any new role or charity and will try to the best of my ability to help & improve life in Rusthall Village in any way possible with my fellow Councillors in the Parish for the benefit of the villagers.

Since joining the RPC I have been asked to join the sub committee for both Planning and the allotments.

I was born in Royal Tunbridge Wells & stayed here finally moving to Rusthall 15 years ago with my wife Vanessa.

I have been a Royal Tunbridge Wells Round Tabler for many years helping to raise thousands of pounds for local individuals and charities including Hospice in the Weald, Headway and Compaid Trust to name but a few.

I have been on the committee of the Rusthall Bonfire & Fete since it started a few years ago and added the Queen’s Walking Carnival and Hog Roast this summer. I found my natural role in the Fete after the first year and have run the Beer Tent with my fellow Round Tablers for the last two years.

I would like to see Rusthall village & Rusthall Parish Council go from strength to strength. However, this will only happen if everyone pulls together and is focused on improving the future of Rusthall and making it an even better place to live and work.
